Why We Built This Site
Nebraska law permits access to many public records, yet custody depends on who created each file. Dawson County Jail answers current-custody questions, sheriff and city police offices retain their own reports, and County Court and District Court keep separate filed cases. The Nebraska State Patrol compiles statewide fingerprint-supported arrest cycles and reported dispositions. NDCS and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry serve still different purposes. This site organizes verified contacts, official search routes, fees, and practical request steps so those distinct sources are not mistaken for one database.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: official routes to Dawson County sheriff, jail, court, and statewide record custodians
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are located and read in Dawson County
- Official report steps: how name-based PCH reports and fingerprint-supported records work through Nebraska State Patrol
- Record relief basics: where Nebraska set-aside and juvenile sealing matters begin
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, with no affiliation to a Nebraska court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Those boundaries mean:
- We do not issue certified court files, police reports, or RAP sheets
- We cannot submit public-record requests or set-aside papers for a visitor
- We do not run an official criminal-history report for anyone
- We cannot interpret a warrant, charge, or case as legal advice
- We cannot promise that a government fee, address, or office schedule has not changed
An official copy must come from the Dawson County office or Nebraska agency that holds the original. This site can identify that custodian but cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes found on parts of this site. They operate independently, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for us, which supports free access to the reference material. We neither set the provider's charge nor determine what its service returns.
